US electric car manufacturer Tesla will recall 134 thousand 951 vehicles due to the touch screen problem in "Model S" and "Model X" vehicles.
In a statement made by the US National Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it was stated that Tesla agreed to recall 134 thousand 951 vehicles due to the touch screen malfunction in "Model S" and "Model X" vehicles.
NHTSA sent a letter to Tesla on January 13 that the touchscreen failure was found to pose a security risk.
In the letter, it was pointed out that the touchscreen problem in vehicles could pose a security risk as it could cause the rear view cameras and de-icers to malfunction.
In the letter, which stated that there were more than 12 thousand customer complaints, warranty claims and complaints about the screens, it was warned that the screen problem could be seen in more vehicles than Tesla recalled before other malfunctions.
