The European Union (EU) reported that it is aimed to use 30 million electric cars by 2030.
The EU Commission has published its study titled "Sustainable and Intelligent Transport Strategy".
Accordingly, transport-related greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 90 percent to transform Europe into a climate-free continent by 2050.
There will be at least 30 million electric cars and 80,000 zero-emission trucks on European roads by 2030. Autonomous vehicle technologies will be expanded.
The carbon emissions of planned public transportation travels that do not exceed 500 kilometers will be reduced to zero. High speed train traffic across Europe will be doubled.
Zero-emission vessels will be put on the market. and 100 cities in Europe will be transformed into climate-friendly and climate-neutral ones.
Until 2035, emission-free large aircraft will be offered to the markets in Europe.
By 2050, almost all cars, vans, buses and heavy vehicles will have zero emissions. Rail freight traffic will also be doubled.
