German automaker Volkswagen announced that it is recalling the CZTA engine coded versions of its compact sedan model Jetta.
The reason for this recall, which covers America, is explained as the bolts on the fuel rail. The National Highway Traffic Safety of America (NHTSA) announced that Volkswagen Jetta cars with CZTA engine code produced between June 18, 2015 and December 9, 2017 should be recalled because of the bolts on the fuel rail.
The number of cars affected by this recall is 218,192 Volkswagen Jetta in total. The exact reason for the recall is that the bolts on the engine fuel rails are not fully tightened, causing a problem due to the risk of fuel leakage.
It is also possible that Volkswagen Jetta owners with the CZTA engine code may smell fuel and see some fuel leaks in the engine. A Volkswagen official who made a statement to AutoNews stated that there was no problem or accident related to this problem.
Vehicle owners related to this problem will be able to fix this problem free of charge by appointment from the dealers as of December 20. Note that the Volkswagen Jetta with the CZTA engine code is the 1.4-liter TSI.
