Bentley, the British luxury car brand within Volkswagen, announced that all models will operate on electricity in the near future. Bentley announced that it will focus on electric car production and will only produce electric vehicles by 2030.
British luxury car manufacturer Bentley has expanded the scope of its electric vehicle vision in line with industry trends.
According to the statement, only electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will form the model range of the brand from 2026. The British manufacturer has announced that all models will be powered by 100 percent electricity from 2030.
Behind Bentley's decision, it is noted that there are increasingly tougher emission regulations in China and the European Union.
It is also reported that 100-year-old Bentley within the German Volkswagen Group will introduce 2 new plug-in hybrid models next year.
"Our 100-year-old brand is evolving into an ethical role model for sustainable and luxury in the luxury car brand," said Adrian Hallmark, Bentley CEO.
Volkswagen announced last week that the profit it made in the third quarter despite the pandemic was made possible by the luxury brands of the group.
