Honda unveiled the prototype version of the new Civic model at the event organized on Twitch. Here are the new Honda Civic features.
Japanese automaker Honda officially introduced the highly anticipated 2021 Civic model on Twitch yesterday evening.
The car, which will go on sale in the spring of next year, is now a prototype.
Although the 2021 Honda Civic is introduced as a prototype, the production model is expected to have the same design.
Honda is updating the Civic lineup after the sedan with the Hatchback, Si (exclusive to the US market) and Type R versions.
2021 HONDA CIVIC DESIGN
The Honda Civic will stand out from the tenth generation with a sportier chassis and increased driving pleasure. The Japanese firm will introduce a number of new technologies with the new Civic, as well as advanced active and passive safety systems.
One of the most important areas of the design and engineering team in the new Civic was to keep the general design lines containing "thin and light" lines. Airy and bright cockpit design is achieved thanks to the low hood and the lowered shoulder line.
Under the thin grille of the model whose headlights are extended, there is a bumper, most of which is a radiator grille.
In the meantime, let's note that the front grille extends under the headlights. The rear has brand new taillights and an improved aerodynamics.
There are serious changes in the cabin of the new Honda Civic. The biggest change in the interior, which looks simpler and more ergonomic than the current model, is undoubtedly the new instrument panel layout.
The fully high resolution screen, 9 inches in size, is the first "fully digital" instrument cluster in the Civic.
The cabin, where the details of the Honda Sensing system will be seen, will include new driving assistance systems, new airbags, a more polite steering wheel, and a body produced by Honda's ACE process that better protects pedestrians and passengers.
