BMW said recently that a problem with batteries in plug-in hybrid models, which are said to be supplied by Samsung, could lead to a fire. As a result, it filed a global recall.
26,900 UNITS OF AUTOMOBILES PRODUCED IN 2020
With this announcement, BMW announced that 26,900 vehicles produced between January 20 and September 18, 2020 were recalled.
BMW announced that the models affected by this recall are the 2 Series Active Tourer, X1, X2, X3 and X5, as well as the petrol-electric hybrid versions of the 3, 5 and 7 Series. He also stated that BMW i8s produced this year, such as the Mini Countryman PHEV, are also included. German automaker BMW announced that most of the affected models are in Europe and 1/3 of the vehicle is in the customers, the rest is in dealerships.
