Online shopping platform Amazon has produced its electric vehicle that will be used in the cargo section.
US-based e-commerce platform unveiled the Amazon electric vehicle. The company will use electric minibus models for cargo service. The company announced in February that it had privately ordered a vehicle from the electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian. Amazon plans to use 10 thousand electric vehicles on the roads by 2022 and 100 thousand electric vehicles by 2030.
The company, which delivered 1 out of every 5 orders in 2019, started to deliver 50 percent of its own packages in 2020.
The company underlined that its ultimate goal is to be carbon neutral by 2040.
