Nissan has recently announced that it will launch a special vehicle in collaboration with Italian car design firm Italdesign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GT-R model. It is now possible to see the model called GT-R50.
According to Nissan's plans, the GT-R50 would be introduced at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, but the model was introduced with digital launch due to the coronavirus outbreak that affected the world. The GT-R with the code R35, which was first introduced in 2007, is still being produced. For the GT-R50 model based on the GT-R Nismo model, Nissan collaborated with the famous italian car design firm Italdesign. Italdesign completely renewed and updated the look of the vehicle.
The roof line of the GT-R50 is lowered by 54 mm. The model now has a much more aggressive look. The new special 21-inch wheels of the GT-R50 also attract attention. When we look at the interior of the car, we encounter the interior of the R35 GT-R, but Nissan uses more special materials than normal, such as carbon fiber and leather.
At the heart of the GT-R50 is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, although this engine is the same as the GT-R Nismo, the GT-R50 produces 112 horsepower and 128 Nm more torque. The Nissan GT-R50 produces a total of 720 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque, and Nissan has also revised the vehicle's transmission.
The Nissan GT-R50 has new Brembo brakes and Bilstein suspensions. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in size 255/35 R21 in the front and 285/30 R21 in the rear are also featured. Another detail is that the Nissan GT-R50 will produce only 50 units. The price tag of 1 million dollars is lip-boring.
