Czech automotive manufacturer Skoda will arrive in 2020 with the hybrid and electric version of the most preferred Superb model.
Skoda launches the superb iV hybrid and electric Citigo-e iV models at Kvasiny. Superb iV and Citigo-e will set out at the beginning of the iV 2020.
As part of the Green Future strategy, Skoda will electrify more than 25 percent of its vehicles in 2025.
Both models will be available with the new Skoda iV label. By the end of 2022, more than ten electric models will be on sale with this label.
Skoda Citigo-e iV is the first fully electric production vehicle in the Czech automotive manufacturer's 124-year history. It will be on the road in urban traffic with its small dimensions, fast driving performance, low maintenance costs, and three driving modes to choose from Eco and Eco +.
The Move & Fun app allows you to view the remaining energy and recovered energy in the vehicle, while charging management and air conditioning can be programmed using the app.
The Skoda Superb iV Plug-in hybrid will be able to drive fully electric for the first 62 km. Thus, the total range can reach up to 930 km. The Skoda Superb hybrid air conditioner can be remotely controlled using an application.
With a capacity of 13 kWh (10.4 kWh net), the battery can be recharged comfortably from a standard home outlet in about five hours overnight.
Both iV models feature special new displays that provide the driver with information on energy consumption, battery charge level or brake energy recovery.
Skoda will spend a total of 2 billion euros for the development of electric vehicles and new mobility services over the next five years.
Skoda Superb iV, the first plug-in hybrid built in the Czech Republic Superb iV and other Volkswagen Group plug-in hybrids are manufactured in Mlada Boleslav.
