Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari, the first electric model before 2025 does not aim to release the market.
Super sport car manufacturers are also participating in the electric vehicle flow. Italian manufacturer Ferrari aims to introduce the first full electric model to consumers after 2025.
Announcing the development, Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri said that the battery technology has not yet reached the desired level and that they have not taken rapid steps to produce electric models.
The battery technologies mentioned by Camilleri include parameters such as charging time and range.
Ferrari is not in a hurry to develop a full electric model, yet it is not far from hybrid models. The company's first plug-in hybrid SF90 Stradale was introduced this year.
According to the statement, 60 percent of the Italian producer's sales by 2022 is expected to be electric / hybrid models.
The 3.9 liter V8 engine in the SF90 Stradale is powered by 3 electric motors. The total power of the car is 735 kW (1000 horsepower), while the 0 to 100 km/h speed in 2.5 seconds can be recorded.
