The Swedish is now fully electric: Here's the Volvo XC40 Recharge!
The Volvo XC40 Recharge stands out as the brand's first fully-electric car to start mass production. The design and innovation of the XC40 Recharge, whose platform is taken from the internal combustion model, is hidden beneath the hull. The car has a total of 2 electric motors, one on the front and rear axles, and offers very high performance values, such as 408 hp and 618 Nm of torque.
With its 78 kWh battery pack installed on the ground, the XC40 Recharge can travel more than 400 kilometers in a single charge. This proves how successful the vehicle is in terms of efficiency. In addition, the 150 kW fast charge support takes the empty battery to a range of approximately 320 kilometers in 40 minutes. XC40 Recharge 0 - 100 kilometers acceleration value was announced as 4.9 seconds.
The cosmetic changes in the model are too limited to try makeup operations. The car is closed in front of the blinds, the interior of the Android operating system comes with a completely new infotainment system. The luggage compartment has also been trimmed slightly due to engine placement.
Volvo CEO HÃ¥kan Samuelsson said that in the Recharge strategy they will announce 5 fully electric models by 2025, including the electric XC40. The Swedish brand's goal at the end of this period is half of its global sales of electric vehicles and the other half of hybrid motor vehicles. Last but not least, the model comes with a free charge for a year and is expected to sell for around 60,000 euros in Europe.
