Volkswagen puts the Beetle legend in the final edition. Exactly three months ago, the latest Beetle Final Edition model at the Volkswagen plant in Mexico will be auctioned at the Chattanooga MotorCarFestival event.
The Wolfsburg manufacturer also announced that it will donate all revenue to the Erlanger Neuroscience Institute. This institute focuses on producing important medical technologies while working on the treatment of patients with neurological problems.
Scott Keogh, CEO of the Volkswagen Group in America, said: "We are very happy to be able to save money for such an important institute. Volkswagen will continue to be present at the Chattanooga MotorCar event."
The Beetle Final Edition was available in two different body styles: coupe and convertible. Referring to the first generation Beetle, the vehicle was able to produce 175 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque using a 2.0-liter TSI engine.
