D-Max, one of the successful representatives of the pick-up segment, has been completely renewed. It has been a long time since the model was last refurbished and the design lines have become obsolete. Isuzu introduced the model with a much more sporty design. The introduction of the new D-Max was made in Thailand, where it will be produced. The new Isuzu D-Max will be available in Thailand in the coming days, but will arrive in Europe in the first quarter of 2020.
Looking at the changing design details of the model, perhaps the most striking detail is the growing radiator grille. Thanks to the new grille the vehicle looks larger. Next to the grille is the thin LED headlights welcome us. LED headlamp groups, then renewed fog headlamp group contributed to sportiness. Interior design has also kept up with modernization. A 9-inch infotainment display, a 4.2-inch digital display on the instrument panel, a new steering wheel with function keys and more comfortable seats.
The 2020 Isuzu D-Max will have two updated turbo diesel options depending on the region it is on sale. The first of these is the 1.9 liter pile engine that produces 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The second option is a 3.0 liter unit that produces 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Both engines have a 6-speed manual transmission, but the 1.9-liter engine is expected to include a new automatic transmission option.
