At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen has three world premieres. The brand introduces both the full electric ID.3 and the new T-Roc Cabriolet, the open-top version of the T-Roc.
'Electromobility' is one of the most important topics of Volkswagen brand at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) this year. With its “Electromobility” strategy, the brand aims to become the world leader with 20 different electric models and 1 million sales targets that it plans to introduce to the market by 2025. After Beetle and Golf, which are among the legendary models of the automotive world, Volkswagen ID.3, which is expressed as the beginning of a new era for the Volkswagen brand, is first exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Volkswagen, full electric ID. ID.3, the first member of the model family, aims to bring mobility still accessible and attractive to millions.
3 different battery options
ID.3, 330, 420 and 530 km range will be available with three different battery options. Thanks to its extraordinary charging capacity, the car is capable of charging up to 80 percent in 27 minutes with a 100 kW DC charging power and can travel 290 km with this charge. Volkswagen also offers an eight-year and 160,000 kilometers warranty for the battery.
The first mass production version ID.3 1 ST , which was exhibited at the fair and received approximately 30,000 pre-orders since last May, has a range of 420 km (WLTP). All versions have extensive technological features, including superior audio and navigation, while the ID.3 1 ST Plus is available with additional IQ Light and dual color interior and exterior design elements. The ID.3 1 ST Max features a panoramic glass roof and augmented reality head-up display, which is reflected in the windscreen with augmented reality.
In addition to the ID.3 model, the ID, which is scheduled to be launched immediately after ID.3. Other models of the family are also featured at the Volkswagen booth: ID.R, ID. CROZZ, ID. BUZZ, ID. VIZZION, ID. ROOMZZ, ID. BUGGY, ID. The other members of the A SUV electric model family are also available for car enthusiasts.
New T-Roc Cabriolet world premiere
The new T-Roc Cabriolet, Volkswagen's first open-top model in the compact SUV segment, is another model the brand has shown for the first time at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA). The impressive exterior design offers a successful combination of high seat seating, flexibility and high driving pleasure, characteristic of SUV models.
The new T-Roc Cabriolet continues the classic soft roof tradition after the Beetle and Golf. The fully automatic roof opens in just nine seconds and can be opened and closed while the car is moving up to a speed of up to 30 km/h. The soft roof can be locked electromechanically. While the chassis and body are strengthened to protect the structural integrity of the car, passengers feel safe thanks to the roll-over protection behind the rear seats.
