SEAT presents the electric concept car of the biggest SUV Tarraco, the hybrid FR model Tarraco FR PHEV and the coupe SUV approach of the performance brand CUPRA.
With the introduction of the sporty FR equipment and efficient electric hybrid powertrain, SEAT adds another dimension to its largest SUV. Thanks to its 13 kWh battery pack, the Tarraco PHEV provides a fully electric range over 50 km and emissions below 50 g/km. With its 150 HP petrol engine and 116 HP electric motor, the Tarraco PHEV is the most powerful Tarraco in the HPEV range, with a total output of 245 HP. Tarraco also comes with innovations such as a functional floor-to-tail taillight and a larger 9.2-inch infotainment system.
The other launch of the brand at the fair is Tavascan, the new coupe SUV concept of the CUPRA brand. The fully electric Tavascan has two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle. The concept car with a total power of 306 HP is based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform. Providing a fully electric range up to 450 km, Tavascan reaches a speed of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in under 6.5 seconds.
Combining the silhouette of a four-door hybrid vehicle with the powerful presence of the SUV and the elegance of a sporty coupé, the CUPRA Tavascan will be the first CUPRA road car to use a 100 percent electric powertrain.
Other electric models on the stand
The SEAT booth also features El Born as the brand's first electric car, and the CUPRA e-Racer, designed to be used in the Mii Electric vee-TCR (Electric Touring Car Races) races, the electric version of the current Mii model to be launched before the hand-Born.
