Porsche's first fully electric sports car, Taycan, was presented today with a spectacular world premiere on three continents.

Porsche Taycan offers the usual Porsche performance with its ease of use and connectivity. At the same time, advanced, advanced production methods and features of Taycan set standards in the fields of sustainability and digitization in the automotive sector. Michael Steiner, Executive Board Member of Porsche AG in charge of Research and Development, emphasizes:We promised a true Porsche that would be a fascinating sports car that would be curiosity among people all over the world, just like its legendary predecessors. Now we are fulfilling our promise.

A spectacular world premiere on three continents simultaneously

Porsche Taycan's world premiere was held simultaneously in North America, China and Europe. Three sustainable in different continents 3 has been selected destinations will represent energy: The US state of New York with forming the border between Canada Ontario city and  hydropower  representing the energy of Niagara Falls, located in Neuhardenberg near Berlin and  solar  energy, representing a solar farm and A wind farm on Pingtan Island, about 150 kilometers from Fuzhou, China, representing wind  power.

Two models in the first place: Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S

Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo represent the latest models of the e-Performance series and the most powerful production models Porsche currently has in its product range. After this year, lower-powered four-wheel drive sports models will be available. The first model to be added to the product line at the end of 2020 will be Taycan Cross Turismo. Porsche plans to invest more than € 6 billion in electromobility by 2022.

Where performance and efficiency meet

After the world premiere on three continents today, Taycan Turbo and Turbo S models will be exhibited for the first time at the IAA Motorshow in Frankfurt.

The maximum speed of 260 km/h, Turbo S model with the start control system 560 kW (761 ps), while the Turbo Turbo 500 kW (680 ps) provides power.

The Taycan Turbo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, with a range of 450 km and the Taycan Turbo S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and 412 km.

Taycan is the first fully electric sports car that operates with an 800-volt system instead of the 400-volt normal voltage level for electric cars. Thanks to this feature, which provides a significant advantage for Thai drivers, the battery can be recharged in just five minutes for a range of up to 100 kilometers (according to WLTP). The estimated time for Taycan's battery to reach a charge level of 5 percent to 80 percent is approximately 22.5 minutes and has a maximum charging power of 270 kW.

Exterior design with Porsche DNA

With its exterior design, Taycan signals the beginning of a new era and carries the traces of Porsche's easily recognizable design DNA. When viewed from the front, a fairly wide and flat silhouette, the lines are quite noticeable wings. The sporty roof line with a downward slope at the back forms the silhouette. The sharp-edged sides are also characteristic of the car. Innovative elements such as the Porsche logo with glass effect integrated into the LED stop lighting at the rear attract attention.

10.9 inch central infotainment display

With its simple design and a new architecture, the cockpit emphasizes the beginning of a new era. The innovative dashboard features a 16.8-inch screen with rounded lines typical of Porsche. The 10.9-inch central infotainment display and optional passenger display are designed in the form of a one-piece black glass panel. The number of traditional hardware controls such as keys and buttons has been significantly reduced and all user interfaces have been completely renewed for Thai. Instead, the controls have been made smart and intuitive to respond to touch operation or voice command.

Innovative driving engines and two-speed gearbox

Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo have two electric motors, one on the front axle and the other on the rear axle, making the automobiles all-wheel drive.

An innovation developed by Porsche is the two-speed transmission mounted on the rear axle. The first gear gives the Thai model greater acceleration at the start, while the second gear provides high efficiency and high power reserves.

Porsche chassis systems

Porsche's traditionally integrated Porsche 4D-Chassis Control system analyzes and synchronizes all chassis systems in real time. As with all models, there are also Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC Sport) systems including PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) and Porsche Torque Steering Plus (PTV Plus). Another unique feature of the car is the four-wheel drive and recovery system with two electric motors. Driving tests show that about 90 percent of the braking in everyday driving is carried out only by electric motors and that the braking system is not activated. In addition to the four driving modes “Range”, “Normal”, “Sport” and “Sport Plus mün, individual systems can be configured as required in“ Individual ”mode.
