Ferrari officially announced the first plug-in hybrid, the SF90 Stradale, after a long wait. Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the Italian brand's hybrid experience on the track, is on the way.
Italian rules deteriorate: Ferrari introduced the SF90 Stradale!
Its name is the 90th anniversary of the Scuderia Ferrari and the SF90 Stradale, which takes the car from F1 this season. The car uses a 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 780 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. However, the first plug-in hybrid unit in the history of Ferrari has emerged by combining this traditional engine with three electric motors. With the addition of electric motors, the vehicle reaches a huge power of 1000 horsepower. The 8-speed automatic transmission and the four-wheel drive system restrain this power.
The 7.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and the hybrid system add an extra weight of 270 kilograms to the vehicle. However, by using aluminum/carbon fiber in the body and chassis, the total weight is maintained at 1,570 kilograms. This gives the driver an incredible power/weight balance of 1.57 kilograms per horsepower. The maximum speed of Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which is 0-100 in 2.5 and 0-200 in 6.7 seconds, is 340 km/h.
On the design side, we can see that the SF90 Stradale has traces of the Ferrari models produced in the last 20 years. In the front part, while thin LED Matrix headlights are not used by their predecessors, the windshield is integrated into the body to provide aerodynamic gain. The rear section is very complicated. At this point, the Gurney wing, which is electrically supported, is perhaps the most striking element. Let us add that this kind of solutions provide an additional force of 390 kilograms at an acceleration of 250 km/h.
The interior of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is intertwined with sportiness and technology. New touch controls are located inside and around the 3-spoke steering wheel. The 16-inch dashboard is also digitized with a curved OLED display. Finally, the car has eDrive, hybrid, performance and 4 driving modes called Qualify.
