The Audi e-foil, an electric surfboard developed by Audi engineers and has a vision for the future of electric cars, can drive up to 45 kilometers per hour on water with its 6.7 Hp power-generating electric motor.
Recently, electric surfboards, which became popular among surfers, have now been redesigned with Audi engineering. The e-foil, which brings together aerodynamics, sustainability and efficiency, and Audi's traditional lightness approach Ultra, has been produced as a prototype for the electric vehicle technology developed under the brand name of e-tron. The aim of the brand is to realize the number of production units that the brand owners can test in a few years.
The e-foil produced by carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) is 1.7 meters long. The electric motor of the surfboard, whose speed can be adjusted by a remote control in the surfer's hand, produces a maximum of 6.7 HP (5kW). The battery of the e-foil, which can reach a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour, can be used for 1 hour.
