New Renault Clio Receives Five Stars From Euro NCAP

The new Renault Clio has achieved five stars in Euro NCAP security tests and achieved a significant success. 

The fifth-generation iconic Clio, which will soon be available for sale, has become one of the safest city cars in the Euro NCAP tests. The new Clio, the 22nd Renault group car with a maximum score of 5, achieved this performance thanks to improved passive safety features and the most comprehensive driving support systems of its category.

Utilizing the Alliance's new platform CMF-B, the new Clio is characterized by its optimized bodywork, improved seat structure that provides optimum support for all passengers, and seat belts with active tension, load limiters. Supported by Renault, the Fix4sure technology provides excellent passenger safety and prevents slip-related injuries. In addition, thanks to the perfect interior of the new Clio, all types of child seats can be placed in the front and rear rows with the isofix and I-size system. Side impacts provide improved head protection for rear passengers.

The new Clio has a rich level of standard equipment: 6 airbags, emergency brake assisted ABS, a camera and radar (such as lane assistance, speed warning signal recognition, safe distance warning and emergency braking assistance). and speed limiter, seatbelt reminder (if there are passengers in the rear seats, warning for these seats) and emergency call. In addition, the standard 100% LED headlamps, automatic short/high beam and self-engined interior mirror provide a safer vision.

Thanks to the new electronic architecture of Clio, it is possible to use an active emergency brake support system that detects pedestrians, bicycles and other vehicles. The new Clio, with this feature, has achieved a high score of 11 out of 12 in the EURO NCAP AEB pedestrian/bike category.
