Introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2014, the Mercedes AMG GT is updated for the 2019 model year.
The final finishing model was caught in the camera during the tests.
Tested on public roads in Germany, the 2019 AMG GT aims to outpace Porsche 911, the nearest competitor. Los Angeles Auto Show is the time to introduce the new model.
The images obtained show some fine styling changes, including a Panamericana grille and modified air entrances.
Other changes include the new headlight technology and design we saw in the new Mercedes models. The stoplamps also have modified graphics.
Though the changes in the GT's design are mild, sources close to Mercedes say they will come up with a more powerful dual-turbo V8 engine.
In the least powerful version of the current GT, the 4.0-liter unit offers 469 bhp. The engine produces 577 bhp in the GT R. The range also shows that the new model has enough space for power output.
Although it is not an official statement yet, it is stated that the AMG GT with makeup will increase the power by 30 bhp.
It is stated that in 2020 the GT, which is supposed to come with a stronger version called Black Series, can be at 650 horsepower.
