Kia has introduced a fully refurbished Ceed hatchback model earlier this year. Now it has rolled out its sleeves for the new Proceed. 2013 ProCeed, which will cover up with a special event on September 13, will be presented at the Paris Motor Show, which will open its doors on October 2 .
The previous Pro_Cee'd (with or without strange characters in the name) was a three-door sports hatback model. However, the Proceed was developed with a different chassis design, due to the reduced interest in this segment.
With the Proceed concept introduced last year, Proceed will have a 5-door "shooting brake", which we will discuss about the production version. So we can say that we will meet a stylish station wagon. The new Proceed, a model such as the Mercedes CLA and CLS Shooting Brake, will be an accessible model for the future with a lower price tag than these models.
The Kia Proceed will be positioned between the Ceed hatchback and the Ceed Sportswagon. The engine options range from 1.0 to 1.6 liters. In the GT version, we expect to use a more powerful engine.
Kia is not the first brand to stop selling 3-door hatcback casters. Sales of models such as VW Polo, Seat Ibiza, Citroën C3 and Peugeot 208 are gradually falling. For this reason, these brands can also plug in these models soon. Audi A1 is expected to follow the same route.
