The newly developed laminar glasses offer extraordinary sound insulation and warmth comfort, as well as increasing the headroom height of passengers. Unlike a Chiron with a standard ceiling, the Chiron Sky View option increases the top overhead by 2.7 centimeters.
Bugatti, Chiron offers a clearer sky view to its users. With the "Sky View" option now in place, Bugatti customers will be able to enjoy the sun's rays over new Chiron cars.
On the roof of the car, the two fixed glass panels on the driver's and passenger's seat each have a length of 65 cm and a width of 44 cm. The panel has a newly developed laminar structure consisting of two thin glass and intermediate layers.
Each layer ensures that the panels have different properties. Second, the infrared rays are projected away from the vehicle, providing maximum comfort in terms of temperature.
Also, the light color of the glass prevents the dazzling effect and protects the privacy of the car users. Finally, harmful ultraviolet (UVA and UVB) rays are filtered out. As a positive side effect, the lamine design increases the strength of the ceiling panels. Chiron retains extraordinary structural features such as the stability of the entire vehicle and the safety of the collision.
Unlike a Chiron with a standard ceiling, the Chiron Sky View option increases the top overhead by 2.7 centimeters.
Bugatti plans to introduce Chiron with the new Sky View feature at the Monterey Auto Week to be held at the end of August 2018 in California.
