The Peugeot 508 SW, a French mid-range model, is boosting its appeal with sporty design, technology and ergonomics.
Renewed Peugeot 508 SW is 4,78 meters long, 5 cm shorter than its predecessor, 3 cm longer. The sleek design of this vehicle's full LED headlamps resembles the Peugeot 504 and 504 Coupe models. With a high shoulder line, a narrow glass surface and frameless doors, the 508 SW's sloping downward sloping roofline retains the usefulness of the boot. The 508 SW has a Magic Flat feature that offers a 530-liter luggage volume when the luggage compartment is closed. Magic Flat offers solutions such as luggage stabilization hooks or luggage racks. And with the asymmetric folding rear seats, the luggage volume is known to be 1,780 liters. The i-Cockpit, which we know from the current Peugeot models, is said to increase the quality of workmanship and materials.
Peugeot's 508 SW, which develops through the EMP2 platform, is the first in its class to offer a night vision system, while the next generation systems meet the EuroNCAP criteria.
The new Peugeot 508 SW is equipped with gasoline and diesel engines compliant with Euro 6C standards. The car includes an 8-speed automatic transmission with 1.6-liter petrol PureTech engines with 180 HP and 225 HP power options. The 508 SW is one of the diesel engine options, with a 6-speed manual gearbox with 1.5 BlueHDi 130 HP power. At 2.0 BlueHDi with options of 160 and 180 HP, Porsche introduced the concept of the 911 Speedster, specially developed for the 70's, at Zuffenhausen in the 70th Anniversary celebrations. Developed at the Porsche Motor Sport Center, the 911 Speedster Concept features a sloping windshield with a shorter frame length than the 911, along with a minimized side window. Inspired by Porsche's previous Speedster model, it does not have navigation, radio or air conditioning.
Developed on the 911 GT3 chassis, this car features a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-cylinder boxer engine. The engine power is above 500 HP at 9000 rpm. It will be clear in the coming months whether the concept will be serialized in 2019.
There's an 8-speed automatic gearbox. In addition, in the second half of 2019, the petrol plug-in hybrid option will be added. The new Peugeot 508 SW will be on the roads in Europe from early 2019, and will be sold at global markets during the second half of the year.
