The 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G engine in the model has been extensively revised, air entrances have been developed, new cylinder heads have been added, pistons and piston rods have been renewed. Mazda says that with these modifications, performance improves, while the weight of the car is reduced.

The new telescopic steering wheel and the revised TFT display are among the notable features. Customers will also be able to order brown-tinted ceilings, leather seat linings and 16-inch aluminum wheels with black metallic accents.
