In the past few weeks, Volkswagen has been sharing its details with the press, the Golf Model GTI TCR, which was introduced at the Wörthersee meeting in Germany. The new GTI model, which is planned to be sold in the last quarter of this year, is saluted to the World Passenger Car Championship under the TCR roof.
The new model, named for Touring Car racing, features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The Golf GTI TCR, which produces 370 Nm of torque from 1600 rpm, will be the name of the fastest Golf GTI produced up to this time with 286 HP power. The engine is combined with a 7-speed DSG. Although the values of 0-100 are known, the model is said to be capable of 264 km / h.
Other details of the model are as follows: a more advanced braking system, two more powerful radiators, adaptive chassis control and TCR-specific cosmetic details compared to the standstard GTI version. Unfortunately there is no official price information yet.
