A mass production version of Kia Niro EV, introduced in January at the CES Technology Fair in Las Vegas, was introduced in South Korea. The car expected to be offered with different hardware packages on the European market will share the same technology with Hyundai Ioniq EV.



Featuring a design similar to the hybrid version, the Niro EV will present a cockpit similar to the interactive display panel in the conceptual model. Introduced in a battery with a capacity of 64 kWh to deliver a range of 377 km, the car will also have a version capable of delivering a range of 240 km. Woong Chul Yang, Vice Chairman of Kia, who spoke to Autocar at CES; "The lower-power battery option can be up to 32 kWh," he said.

Niro has already received 5000 orders for the house, Kia said, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell versions will also be available for sale.
