The 8 Series, where the Bavarian company ended production in 1999, is preparing to return. The first information on the M850i xDrive Coupe version of the car, which is undergoing tests with camouflage outfits, has appeared. The model, described as "a package that combines dynamism and comfort perfectly," was said to use a "completely revamped" V8 engine. It will produce 523 hp of power and 750 Nm of torque, but the weight will be equal even though it is stronger than the engine unit used in the 650i.
With the help of BMW's 8-speed automatic transmission, the new V8 engine will be able to transfer its power to 4 wheels, "power distribution spreading and gearshifting shortened". The BMW 850i xDrive Coupe, which also offers an active locked differential option, is expected to be faster than the M6, which completes the 0-100 km / h acceleration in 4.2 seconds.
The BMW 850i xDrive Coupé, with its active steering system and adaptive M suspensions, strengthens its grip on driving dynamics and will also have a sports exhaust system. The BMW, Sport and Sport + modes, which describe the dynamic driving control system that BMW calls the DSC, will react according to the selected driving modes, and the car will take on a different identity.
The BMW 8 Series is expected to be introduced in June and to be sold at the end of this year.
