The emission manipulation scandal that emerged in vehicles manufactured by German automaker Volkwagen (VW) has now jumped to Mercedes. Mercedes, C and GLD series, the emission values do not reflect the reality of about 600 thousand vehicles will call back.
The Federal Motor Vehicle Authority (NWA) announced that there are concrete suspicions in Mercedes' C and GLD series of investigations, that emissions manipulation is in the exhaust system and that research is continuing.

German Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer requested the Federal Motor Transport Authority to recall vehicles by instructing Mercedes to promptly investigate further suspicious cases. Minister Scheuer announced that Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche will be called in Berlin to discuss the situation.
