7 different sensory theme options available in the car
Carrying the concept of luxury to a completely different dimension, the Volvo S90 Ambience Concept features the world's first sensory experience. The car is based on the three-seat Volvo S90 Excellence, which is sold in China, but the interior has been completely renovated. There are 7 sensory theme options in the car, each with its own unique smell, visual and audio features. These themes you can manage with your smartphone are designed to bring you a whole new journey experience.
Current themes are Northern Lights, Scandinavian Forest, Swan Lake, Archipelago, Rain, Rest and Freedom. Depending on the theme you choose according to your mood, carefully selected music is played on the car's Bowers and Wilkins sound system, while appropriate images are reflected in the car's ceiling.
Volvo has co-operated with the famous perfume brand Byredo, aiming to bring this experience to a different point. The smell radiates from the center console of the vehicle and ensures compatibility with the chosen theme, allowing people to travel in a spacious environment. Volvo design chief Robin Page describes this luxury car as: "Ambience Concept creates a vehicle that connects your senses, going beyond luxury choices and redefining luxury."
